Honoring the Breath. A 12 hour continuing education class I designed for massage therapists includes the Creative Healing treatment for the heart. It helps the people who have trouble taking a deep breath due to anxiety, constrictions in the chest, tight muscles under the arms and upper back. I love this class. I included the General treatment which is needed to prepare the lymphatic and circulatory system to move fluids in the body to open the way for the body to come back into comfort and a relaxed healthy state. There are breathing exercises and a few yoga stretches included to provide the therapist/student with an opportunity to feel their own restrictions before we work with the treatments themselves.
It is more than just a Creative Healing class but I still teach the portion that is Creative Healing in the traditional way. The class was held at Brochu Hypnosis Center in Fayetteville, AR. It is exciting to introduce new therapists to Creative Healing. I thought it would be difficult to begin a new student in what I would think of as half way through the 100 hour Creative Healing curriculum but my classes seem to attract therapists that have been doing body work for an extended time. They have no trouble understanding the concepts. They are able to incorporated this individual treatment into their massage work immediately.
